It was an honor to testify this week. A hard and important topic: Healthcare options and impact if the ACA would be repeal, including what could happen to Federal Qualified Health Centers. The impact could be felt first in the health of the community (sicker patients and utilization of ERs as examples) and the health providers (jobs).

This evening I was interviewed by CNN Portafolio Global regarding the Health Senate Bill. The Senate health care bill fails children.

It proposes drastic funding cuts to the Medicaid program, which is a lifeline for millions of children in the United States.

Medicaid is not just an entitlement program; it’s an empowerment program. Pediatricians are urging the U.S. Senate to please remember that as they consider their legislation and to protect the program for the children and families who rely on Medicaid every day.
